Attached is the 2019 DepEd Calendar of Activities (School Year 2018-2019). All the regular and special non-working holidays can be found in this calendar. This is based on the DepEd Order No. 025 s. 2018.
The Christmas break shall begin on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Classes shall resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2019 (Read: January 2, 2019 Government Work Suspension). The summer/remedial classes shall begin on Monday, April 15, 2019 and end on Friday, May 24, 2019.
In preparation for the opening of classes for SY 2019-2020, the schools shall conduct the following activities:
- Early Registration of learners, beginning on Saturday, January 26, 2019 until February 22 in the schools where they wish to study;
- Brigada Eskwela from May 13 to 17, 2019 to enable the community and the school to prepare their facilities before the start of the school year;
- Oplan Balik Eskwela from May 20 to May 31, 2019, to facilitate the enrolment of learners; and
- In-Service Training (INSET) activities for teachers from May 27 to May 31, 2019, a week before the opening of classes.
You may also see in the Deped Calendar those days which are declared holidays or no classes, student activities and activities that involve learners. You can also see the dates of school activities for teachers, personnel, and other stakeholders.

Good evening, i been searching an email add which is direct to our DepEd secretary, but couldn’t find any.
My concern is about the ages of the kindergarten enrollees. Why in this world that the DepEd agency cannot stick to one rule?? Every school year we encounter different school ages required. They keep on changing the cut off limit of the ages of this young children.
I am a mother of a four year old daughter who will turn five years old by September 30. I was expecting her to be in kindergarten by June,due to their previous s.y. age requirement, but then as we approach another s.y. they once again change the age cut off.. me and my daughter were very much excited for her kindergarten years but since the cut off time decrease to August 30. Only children will turn 5 years old on or before August 30. Can entet kindergarten.. its so unexpected. I am so disappointed.
Can you please DepEd office be firm with your decision.. as i recall your first, age requirement was October 1, then july 1, then march, and lately change to August.
Please press people bring this to our DepEd secretary. I want them to hear my side as a concern mother. Thanks

I just only want to know, when is the christmas break for all the students. We are planning to be out of the country this coming christmas break on 2019.
Bakit po hindi pwede tanggapin ang bata na ipinanganak ng October, November at December? Kasalanan po ba ng bata na ipanganak sya ng ganoong buwan….? Bakit hindi po gawing basehan ang abilidad o kakayahan ng bata sa halip n edad…? Thanks po!

So it’s useless saying that teachers are entitled for a 60-day vacation during the months of April and May because as early as May 14 teachers are already required to go to school for the brigada eskwela.
