[UPDATE as of June 2020] According to CSC Exam Advisory No. 06 s. 2020, the August 2020 CSE-PPT will not push through anymore.
Every year, there are two batches of Civil Service Exam – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub-Professional Levels. Through the Examination Announcement No. 7 series of 2019, the initial schedule for the First Batch and Second Batch of CSE-PPT were March 15, 2020 and August 9, 2020.
However, because of the spread of COVID-19, President Rodrigo Duterte declared a State of Public Emergency throughout the Philippines. With this, the Civil Service Commission suspended the First Batch of Civil Service Exam (March 15). The resumption or rescheduling for the First Batch is still to be announced.
