The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) under the Department of Justice is hiring Corrections Officers I with a basic salary of PhP 29,668.00.

BuCor is pleased to inform all interested individuals that the recruitment process will now be accepting applicants for its Recruitment Cycle 2021.

For 2021, ONLY Corrections Officer I positions will be filled out for the Uniformed Personnel positions. Below are the minimum qualifications as well as the documentary requirements for submission to the BuCor National Headquarters’ Human Resource Division or any Human Resource Units of BuCor’s six (6) Operating Prison and Penal Farms, namely:
  1. Correctional Institution for Women (Mandaluyong City)
  2. Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro)
  3. Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (Puerto Princesa, Palawan)
  4. Leyte Regional Prison (Abuyog, Leyte)
  5. Davao Prison and Penal Farm (Panabo City, Davao del Norte)
  6. San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (Zamboanga City)

Requirements for Corrections Officers and Correction Technical Officers

1. Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen;
2. Must be of good moral character;
3. Must have completed a baccalaureate degree;
4. Height Requirement: Male – 162.5cm (5’4”)| Female – 157.5cm (5’2”)
Note: Height waiver is accepted for applicants belonging to cultural minorities.
5. Must possess any of the following eligibilities:
a. 2nd Level Eligibility (Career Service Professional, CSC PO1/PO-1998 onwards)
b. RA 1080 (Bar & Board Examination)
c. PD No. 907 (College Graduate with Honors)
6. Age Requirement: 21-40yrs old
7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of any offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
8. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
9. Must pass the physical/agility test, qualifying exam, interview, neuro-psychiatric exam, medical/dental exam.
