The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) headed by Secretary Allan Peter Cayetano, has launched Passport on Wheels (POW) to speed up passport processing and decongest the consular offices in Metro Manila and other regional offices. The Passport in Wheels Program will have four (4) buses that can serve at least 500 people a day – a total of 2000 slots per day.
“Alam ko na malaking convenience ang mabibigay nito sa mga residente ng ating mga barangay. I hope they will take this opportunity to process their passport applications. We also look forward in the next months that this project will not only be extended in the National Capital Region but also in the provinces.” – Senator Cynthia Villar
As of February 15, 2018, the Passport on Wheels Program has reached 8 cities and 6 municipalities, with a total of 13,887 people being served. In the months to come, the Department of Foreign Affairs will continue to roll its Passport on Wheels out to more cities and provinces in the country, as we strive to bring our services closer to the people.

Good morning po, is POW always exclusively for residents only or it depends on the LGU? Thanks. I am very much in need of a passport renewal and cannot get an appointment online at all.
Yes, most of the Passport on Wheels are dedicated for the residents of the LGU. But you can inquire the LGU if they are accepting some residents of nearby towns.

Question, are the requirements for the passport the same for all places? In Imus we were asked for our voters ID but i don’t have it yet. Are other government ID’s above still applicable?
If it is Passport on Wheels. Some are requiring voter’s ID since it is the LGU who requested for the passport on wheels. And it is only for the resident of that specific LGU.

I am from davao city. My daughter, an 11year old girl, is a dual passport holder since my husband is an italian. Just recently, I found out that her Philippine passport is already expired. Her dad already got a ticket for the two of them, bound for Europe. Unfortunately, no matter how i tried to book a n appointment, to negative result pa rin po.
For the abovesaid reason, I wish to seek help from your good end.
Hi Ms. Rodina, for passport, authentication and other consular inquiries, don’t hesitate to call 556 0000 or 234 3488. The DFA home office number is (02) 834-3000 and (02) 834-4000. That’s what we can advise. If ever, try to go to DFA regional office at Davao.
