- Eid’l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.
- Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid’l Adha shall be observed as a regular holiday.
- The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that August 12 be declared a national holiday, in observance of Eid’l Adha
