1554 Scholarships (BS, MS, PhD, Vocational) in Guizhou China | CHED Memo

The Commission on Higher Education hereby informs all interested parties of the invitation from the Guizhou Government to its Guizhou Government Scholarship (GGS) for Southeast Asia 2018 for Academic Calendar Year 2018-2019.

The Guizhou Government, managed by the Guizhou Provintial Department of Education (GPDE), will provide 1,554 scholarships for Southeast Asian students who wish to pursue certificates and degrees in 23 tertiary universities and colleges in Guizhou Province, PR China.

  • 26 doctoral programs
  • 130 master’s programs
  • 761 bachelor programs
  • 200 vocational education programs
  • 437 general scholar programs

Background Information about GGS

Guizhou Government Scholarship (GGS) was established in 2013 by Guizhou Provincial People’s Government. GGS has attracted excellent students from Asia, especially ASEAN countries, Europe, America, and Africa to study in Guizhou, providing opportunities for them to pursue study and achieve their career dream.

In 2018, GGS supports 4 programs: Guizhou Universities Program, Laos-Guizhou Scholarship, Guizhou Government Scholarship for Southeast Asia 2018 and Guizhou China-ASEAN Maritime Silk Road Scholarship.

GGS for Southeast Asia includes full scholarship and partial scholarship according to the consensus between SEAMEO and Guizhou Province to recruit outstanding Southeast Asian students. It supports doctoral programs, master’s programs, undergraduate programs, vocational education programs, and general scholar programs. Applicants shall submit application to the designated Guizhou universities.

The applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, hold foreign passport, be in good health and friendly to China, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and obey school rules and regulations. In addition, excellent academic performance and above standard quality are expected from applicants.
