This is the Proclamation of President Duterte regarding the holiday on May 13, 2019 and declaring it as Special Non-Working Day all throughout the country.

Proclamation No. 719 Series of 2019

Declaring MONDAY, 13 MAY 2019, as a SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY throughout the Country

WHEREAS, the National and Local Elections shall be held on Monday, May 13, 2019.

WHEREAS, there is a need to declare Monday, 13 May 2019, a special (non-working) holiday to enable people to properly exercise their right to vote.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 13 May 2019, as a special (non-working) day throughout the country for the National and Local Elections.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 9th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Nineteen.
