DMW Japan Hiring 2026: 50 Nurses and 300 Careworkers via G2G Program

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), in partnership with Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS), is now accepting applications for healthcare professionals who are willing to undergo training and obtain a Japanese national license.

Available Positions Under DMW Japan Hiring

Under this Japan Government hiring 2026 initiative, the following positions are available:

• 50 Nurses (Kangoshi)
• 300 Careworkers (Kaigofukushishi)

This is classified as a Government placement program, meaning applications are processed directly through DMW. The G2G Program is a formal bilateral recruitment arrangement between the Philippine government (through DMW) and a foreign government or its agencies.

How to Apply to Japan Hiring via G2G

Qualified applicants under must secure an online appointment through their DMW e-Registration account using the official DMW Online Services Portal.

Applicants are strongly advised to carefully select their preferred DMW processing venue, as evaluation of applications will be accommodated only at the processing venue indicated in the confirmed appointment.

On the scheduled appointment date at the selected DMW Office, applicants must personally appear and present the original copies of the required documents for verification. Only those who complete the online appointment process and submit complete documentary requirements at their chosen DMW office will be evaluated.

Japanese Language Training Program

All selected applicants under DMW Japan hiring must complete a total of 12 months of intensive Japanese language training. This includes six (6) months of preparatory training in the Philippines, which may be conducted online or face-to-face, with mandatory in-person classes in Manila if selected by the Japan Foundation, followed by another six (6) months of continued language and professional training in Japan.

Applicants are expected to reach at least JLPT N4 level upon completion of the preparatory training. Exemptions may apply to those who already have JLPT N3 or N4 (obtained after April 2024), JLPT N2, or at least 12 months of study in a Japanese language institution designated by Japan’s Ministry of Justice. Only candidates with fast and reliable internet connection will be selected.

In previous batches under the JICWELS program facilitated by the Department of Migrant Workers, language training costs were typically covered by the program, and trainees who proceeded to Japan commonly received a monthly allowance during their training period. Applicants are advised to confirm the exact training arrangements and benefits with DMW during their official appointment.

Salary of Nurses and Careworkers in Japan

After passing the required examination and obtaining the Japanese National License, salary rates increase significantly. Licensed Kangoshi (Nurses) may receive an estimated gross monthly salary of around ¥200,000 to ¥250,000 or more, which is approximately ₱75,000 to ₱95,000+ depending on the exchange rate. Meanwhile, licensed Kaigofukushishi (Careworkers) may earn about ¥170,000 to ¥220,000 or more per month, equivalent to roughly ₱65,000 to ₱85,000+. These figures are gross salaries, and actual take-home pay may vary depending on deductions such as taxes, social insurance, pension contributions, and accommodation costs if not fully covered by the employer.

Deadline for the Japan Government Hiring

The deadline for submission of applications under the DMW Japan hiring program is on or before April 24, 2026. Applications will be accepted at both DMW Regional Offices and the DMW Central Office. Applicants are strongly advised to secure their online appointment and submit all required documents on or before the deadline, as late or incomplete applications may not be accommodated.
