Modified Base Pay Schedule of Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP)

This article will show you the modified base pay schedule of Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP) in accordance with the joint resolution signed by the Senate President and House Speaker.

The joint resolution increased by 100 percent the base of a police officer (PO) I in the Philippine National Police or a private in the Armed Forces of the Philippines and equivalent ranks in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Public Safety College, and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

The modified base pay schedule for MUP will be implemented in two (2) years. Below is the first tranche starting January 1, 2018.

Modified Base Pay Schedule

The Hazard Pay of all MUP shall be fixed at five hundred forty pesos (P540) per month. The Provisional and Officers’ Allowances shall no longer be part of the compensation of MUP beginning January 1, 2018.

According to Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, the implementation of the new tax reform law will further increase the net take-home pay of the uniformed personnel with the lowering of income tax rates.
