What is PNPA Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT)

The PNPA Cadetship Program is a government Scholarship Program. It is a 4-year education and training program leading to the Bachelor of Science In Public Safety degree. Upon graduation, cadets may be commissioned as Police Lieutenants in the Philippine National Police (PNP), subject to existing laws, regulations, and PNPA policies. Historically, PNPA graduates have also served in the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Initial Requirements

• Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen;
• Must be 18 to 22 years old before May 1, 2027;
• Must be at least a Senior High School (SHS) graduate with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or higher;
• Must be single and has never been married, nor pregnant (for female applicants), and must not have any legal obligation to support a child or children;
• Must have a minimum barefoot height of 5 feet 2 inches (157.48 cm) for males and 5 feet (152.40 cm) for females;
• Must have a normal Body Mass Index (BMI) corresponding to age, height, weight, and gender;
• Must be physically and mentally fit to undergo rigorous training;
• Must possess good moral character and must not have been convicted of any criminal, administrative, or civil case;
• Must have no pending complaint and/or case involving moral turpitude or crimes against the State;
• Must not be a former cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) or any other service academy; and
• Must never have been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause.

PNPACAT Application Period

The schedule for the filing of application is until September 30, 2026.

The PNPA Cadetship Program offers a full government scholarship that includes monthly pay and allowances throughout the four-year training period. Cadets undergo a comprehensive education and leadership development program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS). Beyond academics, the academy aims to develop God-centered leaders of character who are prepared to serve their communities.

How to Apply to PNPACAT?

Applicants who are residing near the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) may personally visit the academy in Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda, Silang, Cavite and submit their required documents directly to the designated office.

Applicants who are unable to visit the academy in person may send their application documents through a courier service such as LBC, J&T Express, JRS Express, or other accredited delivery providers. Documents should be addressed to:

• Scanned copy of PSA Birth Certificate
• Scanned copy of a passport-sized or 2×2 photograph with name tag
• Scanned copy of the latest Form 137 or Form 138 showing a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85%
• Active and verified PNPACATOAS account
