PNPA Cadet Admission Test | Schedule, Requirements & Qualifications

The application is still ongoing for the PNPA Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) also known as PNPA Entrance Exam. This article will give you the details on the application period, requirements, qualifications, and how you can apply.

What is PNPA Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT)

The PNPA Cadetship Program is a government Scholarship Program. It is a 4-year education and training program leading to the Bachelor of Science In Public Safety degree. Graduates are appointed as Police Lieutenants of the Philippine National Police, as Inspectors of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Fire Protection.

Initial Requirements

  • A natural-born Filipino citizen;
  • Must be 18 to 22 years old at the time of admission;
  • Male or female, must be single with no parental obligation;
  • At least Senior High School graduate upon admission (June 1, 2025);
  • At least 5 ft and 2 inches (158.2cm) for males and 5 ft (152.4 cm) for females in height;
  • With weight that corresponds to the applicant’s height, gender, and age (BMI);
  • Physically and mentally fit to undergo the Cadetship Program;
  • With good moral character (no criminal, administrative, or civil derogatory record);
  • Without pending complaint and/or case before any tribunal of whatever nature;
  • Not a former cadet of PNPA, or other similar institutions; and
  • Never been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause.

Exemption for PNPACAT (Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test):

Senior High School with highest honors and college summa cum laude, magna cum laude, cum laude and are exempt from taking the Cadet Admission Test (written) provided, he/she shall apply and submit the application form with certification of honor from his/her School/ College/ University to reach PNPA Registrar’s Office before the end of the announced application period. Provided also, that he/she satisfies the initial requirements for admission.

The schedule for the filing of application is until June 30, 2024.

  • Full government scholarship with monthly pay and allowances for four (4) years
  • Cadetship program leading to a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS)
  • Developing cadets into God-centered leaders of character to serve our communities as Chiefs of Police, Fire Marshals and Jail Wardens.

How to Apply to PNPACAT?

Submit the duly accomplished application form (print the two pages or back to back) with an attached photocopy of the following:

  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • Passport-sized or 2×2 picture
  • Filled out copy of the PNPA BMI Form. Your Body Mass Index (BMI) rating must not be more than 28.0 for you to qualify for the PNPA CAT. Visit any licensed private or government physician to determine your BMI.

You may proceed to nearest Police Station for the CERTIFICATION section to be administered by any Police Commissioned Officer (PCO)with the rank of Police Lieutenant and above. You may also approach any PCO available.

After that, send it via courier (LBC/ J&T/ JRS etc.) to the Office of the Registrar, Philippine National Police Academy, Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda, Silang, Cavite 4118.

How to Apply Online

  • Go to this Online Application through this Google Form.
  • Prepare the scanned copy of PSA Birth Certificate, scanned copy of accomplished Medical Certificate, and scanned photo of yourself for identification (2×2 or passport-sized).
