September 8, 2019 Special Working Holiday | RA 11370

According to Republic Act No. 11370, September 8, 2019 is a special working holiday.

President Rodrigo Duterte signed the Republic Act No. 11370 also known as “An Act Declaring September 8 of Every Year a Special Working Holiday in the Entire Country to Commemorate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Employees will benefit from this since they will be give a 30% increase in salary for that particular day, which is also the same benefits for a special non-working holiday.

For a special working holiday, the schools, offices and other establishments are open.

Republic Act No. 10966 | Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Back in 2017, President Duterte signed RA 10966 into law. This law states is also known as “An Act Declaring December 8 of Every Year a Special Non-Working Holiday in the Entire Country to Commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Principal Patroness of the Philippines.”
