SSS Calamity Loan (PhP 20,000) | Now Accepting Online Applications

According to the official social media accounts of Social Security System (SSS), they are already accepting online applications for the SSS Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP) to all members who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Launching of SSS Calamity Loan

The launching of this program was on June 15, 2020. According to SSS, they have finalized their system for the said loan program where a member can loan up to PHP 20,000.

How to Apply

The application for the loan will be online via MY.SSS or through www.sss.gov.ph which is under the E-Services menu function.

Qualifications for the Loan Application

Members who are qualified for this loan are those who have paid contributions for 36 months and six months of these should have been made within the last 12 months before the loan application is submitted.

REMINDER: Delinquent borrowers are not qualified for this loan program.

SSS Vice President Fernando Nicolas urged SSS members to open bank accounts because SSS management has approved the recommendation to pay all the loan proceeds and other benefits through an online banking facility.

He clarified that proceeds of this loan program are not sure to be made through online bank crediting because SSS officials are still finalizing agreements with several banks “but definitely, the benefits that have been approved earlier can be sent to the members’ bank accounts anytime.”

SSS Calamity Loan Deadline

The deadline for the application for the calamity loan or CLAP is until February 26, 2020. (For those who are affected by the typhoons Quinta, Rolly, Ulysses). Read this article.

Other Programs of SSS amidst Covid-19 Pandemic

  • SSS has extended to within 60 days the filing of sickness notifications for self-employed and voluntary members.
  • A three-month moratorium on loan payments is also in effect to lessen the impact of the quarantine on workers in the private sector and those who are self-employed.

  2. UPDATE: Hindi po muna matutuloy sa APRIL 24 ang ONLINE APPLICATION para sa SSS CALAMITY LOAN.

    “Nakikiusap po kami na maghintay lang tayo, unawain niyo muna ang sitwasyon… Isusunod po namin ang calamity loan, ‘yung website natin po kasi nagkakaproblema sa dami ng gumagamit,” ani SSS spokesperson Fernan Nicolas.

  5. 4yrs ago i have contribution on the sss…can i apply calamity loan…i been working on the restaurant as a cashier for 8months but may employer always deducted our benefits but they did not pay our contrubution…
